Demos

What is the Batson Guitar demo program?

We’ll ship a Batson Guitar to your doorstep via FedEx, and you get 3 days to play the fool out of it. Our demo guitars come equipped with L.R. Baggs electronics, so that you can plug it right in to your music environment and give it a real test.

Why do you have a demo program?

Batson Guitars has only a small handful of dealers, strategically placed around the world. We have chosen to only work with dealers who have a high level of expertise, customer service and a strong endorsement of our guitars. Our goal is to bring on more and more of these dealers over time, but the reality is that 100 new dealers would still not reach everyone who wants to try a Batson guitar.

We know that finding that perfect guitar ain’t easy! And even when you believe you’ve found it, being able to experience it in your own day-to-day musical environment is the true test. And with each passing year more and more information piles up — catalogs, player reviews, word-of-mouth, forum postings, magazine “shoot-outs”, and countless other tests and testimonials on seemingly brilliant theories of sound and mechanics. You owe it to yourself to make an educated choice. Trying to work through the overload of information can cause “paralysis by analysis.” There’s only one cure for this – to EXPERIENCE IT – not just read about it. Well, now you can – no matter where you live in the United States.

How does the program work?

  • For Custom Guitars, the demo costs $295. This covers the cost of the outbound and the inbound FedEx Ground shipping, handling and insurance. If you choose to purchase a new guitar, whether one on the wall at one of our dealers’ shops or a custom unit direct from us within 14 days of the end of your demo, we’ll credit the full $295 demo fee toward your purchase. If you make your purchase 15-30 days after your demo week, we’ll credit you $145.
For the No.5 Series, the demo costs $150 and will be non-refundable. Keep in mind that if you have not tried a No.5 (or any other Batson, for that matter) and don’t want to ‘blow’ $150, there is a 7 day money-back guarantee on all of our guitars (see our F.A.Q. on the “Contact” page) for more information.
  • The guitar will arrive at your door fully tuned-up and amplification-ready (most likely an LR Baggs Element Active).
  • The demo period is three days. We ask that you ship the guitar back to us on the next business day after these three days are complete (use the pre-printed FedEx return tag).
  • When you book your demo we’ll tell you what’s available and when, and work with your schedule for the best time to ship it to you. We’re a small shop and have a limited number of demo units to ship out, so please be patient.
  • You’re also welcome to visit our shop in Nashville, sign out a guitar, and we can even hook you up with some great studios and producers, for those of you who are serious about your music. This local demo program is only $50 per day. We’ll also give you a tour of the shop and show you some of our great options we have in inventory. If you ultimately buy a new guitar from us, we’ll credit that $50 ‘local demo’ toward your purchase.
  • If you have any questions about how our demo program works, please email us.
